Dr. Joshi received her medical degree from the prestigious Armed Forces Medical College in Pune, India in 1991, graduating magna cum laude. She served as a captain in the Army Medical Corps for five years before moving to Connecticut with her family in 1998.
Upon completion of her residency training in 2002 at the Hospital of St. Raphael, a major teaching affiliate of Yale School of Medicine, she served as a hospitalist there. She subsequently helped establish a hospitalist program at Bridgeport Hospital, where she also served as director of Medical Consult Services, providing urgent medical consultations to inpatients on surgical, orthopedic, oncology and psychiatric services.
Dr. Joshi’s ongoing commitment to graduate medical education includes serving as faculty in the Bridgeport Hospital Department of Medicine, as well as clinical instructor at the Yale School of Medicine.
